Active Shooter (Multiple Courses)

A series of separate instruction that is based on an emergency situation involving a person or persons who are actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a populated area by acts of either random or systematic violence.

Behavior Health Monitors in Healthcare

This material is designed for healthcare monitors responsible for one-to-one observance of a person in crisis in a healthcare setting.

Bill of Rights – Emphasis on 4th, 5th and 14th Amendments

A Study of the Constitutional amendments and to understand the purpose as it pertains to limiting the power of government relative to civil freedoms.

Close Combat Self Defense and Krav Maga

A military self-defense system developed for use in hand-to-hand situations. It provides another means of establishing control with unwilling subjects.

Concealed Carry

North Carolina:  This class is governed by NC Justice Department Concealed Carry Handgun and only presented by certified instructors. It is 8 hours of classroom instruction on marksmanship, firearm safety, operation and maintenance of handguns, associated laws of concealed carry and a variety of mandated NC Justice topics. Additionally, each student must pass a written test and demonstrate competency using a firearm with live ammunition. Upon successful completion, a NC Concealed Carry Handgun Certificate is issued which may be taken to one’s local sheriff for processing.

Criminal and Civil Law (Armed Security Officers)

This teaches how Civil law deals with the disputes between individuals, organizations, or between the two, in which compensation is awarded to the victim. Criminal law is the body of law that deals with crime and the legal punishment of criminal offenses.

Criminal Arrest

This is a cursory course in criminal law for non-law enforcement personnel that defines an arrest or, in other words, an “apprehension”. It describes stopping a person at his place and restraining that person’s movement and detaining him with valid legal authority. It covers elements of the arrest and who can make an arrest to prevent a crime or detain a known suspect after a crime has been committed.

Crisis Intervention Certification (CPI)

“crisis intervention training is a curriculum consisting of both verbal and physical intervention techniques to de-escalate disruptive behavior.

Crisis Response Team (Training and Certification)

A course designed for select healthcare facility personnel who respond to a person in crisis or an act of violence. This is a reasonably lengthy course which has a pre-requisite of completing “Crisis Intervention”.

Duties and Performance of a Campus Security Officer

Presentation designed to understand the security officer duties and responsibilities as they deal with individual behavior, security of property and people, investigations, maintaining order and enforcing regulations.

Expandable Baton Carry Certification (Includes ASP, Flashlight and Handcuffing)

Certification course to legally carry a baton that includes the officer’s Use of Force, legal and civil liability, responsibilities, subject target areas and associated first aid of a subject.

Fundamentals of Firearms (Pistol & Shotgun)

This is a structured set of lessons that are carried out in a classroom and in an outside training area. The practical application of the lessons includes firearm drills, gun safety procedures and marksmanship techniques.

Georgia Private Security Firearms Certification

Course that may only be administered by an approved instructor in accordance with the standards set forth by the Georgia Secretary of State that includes a defined classroom curriculum and a specific firing range qualification course and scoring criteria.

Law and Security Officers Ethics

Outlines the moral principles and expectations of an officer during the conduct of duty while upholding the organization’s policies, procedures and protecting the rights of others.

Laws governing LEO & Security Officers Liability

A class designed to teach officers the need for accurate gathering, documenting, and analyzing information associated with any incident. Work every situation as though you may be held liable; reports should be written as though it is intended for a jury and the officer is defending themselves.

Legal Authority of Private Security Officers

The course instills the understanding that security officers are not Law Enforcement but have significant authority to protect people and property while working between civil and legal constitutional laws.

New Security Officer Orientation

This is an introduction to the Security Officer duties that include theft prevention, recording daily events, documenting illegal activity and protecting the safety of others. Depending on the position, security officers may also be required to detain individuals and intervene in physical confrontations until law enforcement arrives.

Taser Certification (Law Enforcement and Armed Security)

This course includes the legal and operational aspects of a non-lethal device (Taser) which is a Conducted Electrical Weapon (CEW). Upon successful completion, qualifies one to carry the device in the performance of duty.

Use of Force (initial and recurrent Training)

This is an involved course of doctrines and situational variables surrounding the use of force in the context of the “amount of effort to compel compliance of an unwilling subject”.

What is violence

This training assumes an officer may not have been in a real fight. The purpose is to provide a dose of reality about Violence; it will implant an awareness that some subjects have a sincere intent to injure, abuse, damage or destroy anything in his/her way.
